Shahar Fuhrer received a BA in Literature, Linguistics and History from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She was part of the center as an MA student in the Department of History. Shahar oversees the staff, programming – events, conferences, study tours, and overall operations of the Africa Centre.

Carmit has a BA and MA in Politics and Government from Ben-Gurion university. Today Carmit is a doctoral student in Politics and Government, Sociology and anthropology and the Africa center. Her research focuses on Activism and social movements in Africa and the African diaspora. Carmit is the teaching assistant in the Africa and Activism course, and responsible for the center’s monthly newsletter.

Shahar received a BA in African Studies and History from BGU. Currently, Shahar is an MEM student in emergency medicine, preparedness and response to emergencies and disasters. is the teaching assistant in the Africa and Activism course, and the coordinator of the volunteer delegation. She also helps in organizing events and conferences the center holds.

At the Tamar Golan Africa Centre, Uri is in charge of the Afro-Cinema screening series, the Forum for Advanced Degrees and for organizing and coordinating the different events the center holds.
